Like her naturally occurring namesake, Sandunes - otherwise known as Sanaya Ardeshir - plays with broad landscapes of sound. Her sonic identity has evolved alongside her journey from piano to production.

Her performances reveal an appetite for integrating studio and stage. Audiences at home and abroad have seen her supporting Pretty Lights in Colorado, performing at India's Magnetic Fields festival, playing India's first ever Boiler Room series in Mumbai and collecting sounds for Red Bull's Searching For Sound series.
Outside of the studio, Sandunes advocates accessibility and exposure to music-making, and regularly gives workshops and talks on music production and performance, including at Ableton's LOOP in Berlin, at Mumbai's G5A and on Point Blank's online network of production masterclasses.
In 2015 she co-founded Perfectiming - her duo with beat poet and RBMA alum Jivraj Singh. Sandunes is also a member of DASTA - a collective of six Indian beatmakers, that focuses on DIY growth and empowerment through the arts.
Her work has been recognised by international and local tastemakers across various media including Rolling Stone, Vh1, RBMA Daily and Tom Tom Mag. In 2016 she was hosted by APRA AMCOS SongHubs in Sydney, performed as Perfectiming in Kuwait for an RBMA series, performed across 6 cities in the U.S., recorded at the Red Bull studios in NY, released a sample pack via the Ableton blog, and independently released her full length album - DOWNSTREAM.
