Christian Thomas is a Nashville-based musician, producer, instructor and consultant. He is the owner of Live Stems, a music performance consulting company specializing in track playback solutions with a client roster that includes many of today's top artists. Christian has been an Ableton Live user since 2002 and has been actively providing instruction for nearly two decades.

As a consultant, Christian has helped design performances for artists such as Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Nelly, Lady Antebellum, Lionel Richie, Michael Nesmith, Backstreet Boys, RaeLynn, Jason Derulo, Cole Swindell, Flo Rida, Chase Rice, Anastasia, X Ambassadors and more. He has also consulted for televised performances including The Tonight Show, The Late Show, Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Voice and Super Bowl XLV, as well as awards show performances on the Grammy Awards, CMAs,  ACMs, VH1 Honors and MTV Video Music Awards.

As a musician and producer, Christian has worked under the name Crux for his solo projects, and under the moniker Real Time Hand Motion (RTHM) alongside his longtime collaborative partner Carson Carr aka Busy.

Over the past 20 years, Christian’s music has been released on labels such as Oomph Records, Control Recordings, Spatula City, Lingo, Love Network, Soul Fuel, Flapjack, Kinjo, Coyote Cuts, Serial Sickness, Guesthouse, Llama Farm Recordings, Holy Feather, Kolour Recordings, Round House, Market House Meats, Guess Who? and Cotopaxi.

His production has been featured internationally in publications such as 5 Magazine, NOISE, and VH1 Australia.

Christian has performed as a DJ/Live PA sharing the stage with prolific artists like Mark Farina, DJ Sneak, Colette, DJ Heather, Junkie XL, BT, Bad Company, LTJ Bukem, Evol Intent, The Sound Republic, DJ Mes, Underworld and Bryan Jones.

Christian is the co-owner and operator of Knocturnal Emissions, an electronic music record label and publishing group based in Nashville, TN.

As an instructor, Christian has been invited to teach numerous faculties on music performance and production at schools and events throughout the United States, including Portland State University, Middle Tennessee State University, SAE Institute, Clackamas Community College, the Winter Music Conference and the Northwest House Music Conference.

In addition to music education, he is the principal administrator of the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners, an organization that teaches and certifies digital forensic investigators within both local and federal law enforcement, military and corporate environments. He also works as a specialist within Raytheon's Intelligence & Information Services — Cyber Special Operations.
