We’re very proud of the global Ableton community, and we firmly believe in the benefits that come from collectively pooling knowledge and sharing inspiration. Ableton User Groups began so people could come together to build meaningful connections with like-minded music makers while helping to foster creativity and experimentation.
Ableton User Groups are an easy and fun way to make friends, trade tips, acquire new skills and find collaborators in your area. They can be as big or small as your location requires, and there are no strict rules about how and where they take place. We encourage you to start the User Group that works best for your community.
Requirements for starting a User Group
If you want to start a User Group, you’ll need to:
•Have access to a location where you can host regular meet-ups (at least three a year)
•Keep your User Group active online
•Make sure every session is free and inclusive
Your meet-ups can be as big or as small as your location requires, and there are no strict rules about how and where they should take place. We encourage you to start the User Group that works best for your community.
How Ableton will support you
As a grassroots community initiative, it's up to you as the User Group organizer to grow you User Group organically and independently of Ableton – but we’re here to support you in any way we can, tailored to your needs. This includes:
•Free merch for your attendees
•Help with building your community, both online and offline
•Putting you in touch with a worldwide network of User Group organizers
•Event support and promotion
Running a really great User Group takes dedication, passion and time. But the connections you can build with your local music-making community are more than worth it.
